Importing Rational DOORS (csv) Files

This section contains outlined instructions for importing a Rational DOORS (.csv) file into Innoslate.

  1. Within 'Import Analyzer', ensure the 'Rational DOORS (.csv)' tab is selected, if not, click on the tab to switch to it.

  2. Drag and drop your CSV file over the drop area, or click within the drop area to browse your computer’s file system to select the file.

  3. Once both progress bars reach 100%, click on the ‘Next >’ button to preview what will be imported.

  4. Verify the preview of the import is what you were expecting. To finish the import process and save the entities to your current project’s database, click on the ‘Save’ button. To go back, modify your text and try importing again, click on the ‘< Prev’ button to return to the previous step in the process.

Please Note:
  • Exported object attribute titles from DOORS must reflect exactly “Object Identifier”, “Object Number”, “Object Heading”, and “Object Text” for successful import.
  • Any additional object attributes exported from DOORS that are not specified above will be added as a comment on the Requirement entity in Innoslate.
  • If you’d like to import additional DOORS object attributes or import those objects as something other than Requirements, use the Excel CSV import tab instead.
  • A DOORS export will fail to import if it contains an exported DOORS object whose Object Number or Object Heading attribute text is longer than 450 characters.
