Creating Entities

This section contains outlined instructions for how to create a new entity of any class in your project's database.

  1. Within 'Database View', click the blue 'New Entity' dropdown located on the toolbar, as shown below, and select a menu item from the list of classes. This will navigate you to the ‘Entity View’ in Innoslate where you can begin to enter information into your new Action entity. This example will continue to use the Action class moving forward, however, the overall process is the same regardless of the selected class.

  2. Once in ‘Entity View’, enter at least a ‘Name’ for your new Action entity.

  3. Fill in the other attributes as necessary, add relationships and labels if need be and then click the left side of the green 'Save' split button to persist your new entity to your project’s database.

  4. Once the save has finished, you will be navigated back to 'Database View', where you will be able to find your new entity displayed as a row in your project's database.
