Entity Notation

In an entity description you can add self-updating notations. These notations can be a name, number, or attribute of any entity in the project.

Adding Entity Notations With the user interface

Click on the 'Plus' dropdown and click on Entity Notation.

A modal will appear. Select or search for the desired entity.

Afterwards select the desired attribute.

Then click Insert to finish.

Save the entity to apply the changes.

Adding Entity Notations Manually:

In-Line: Within the Entity Description, add @{GlobalId}:{Attribute Name} , then save the entity. You should immediately be able to see the changes reflected in the entity's description. Below is an example.

Tag-Notation: After Saving an entity with in-line notation, the entity's html will have tag notation that is editable. Please note that this is better used with the user interface, as tags are more difficult to get just right. This can be achieved by clicking on the source button on an entity's description field, then changing the tags to match what you want the notation to be, then saving the entity. Please see below example.

Table Notation

In an entity description you can add self-updating tables. These tables can include names, numbers, or attributes of any set of entities in the project.

Click on the 'Plus' dropdown and click on Table Notation.

A modal will appear. Select or search query.

Then select the attributes the table will display.

Then select the limit for number of entities within that query will display. Note: Large limit can impact loading of that query.

Click Preview to see a preview of the table.

Click Insert to generate table.

Click save to capture the changes.
