Document Templates

Templating allows you to write documents from the same template start point on selected documents. Allowing you to keep the same information on multiple documents without having to rewrite it. 

  1. In any document, click the [icon name="rectangle-list" prefix="far"] More dropdown in the toolbar.

  1. Click the [icon name="file-check" prefix="far"] Template option.
  1. In the Create New Requirements Document Template modal you will input a name for the new template. Click in the text box next to Name and type your desired name for your template. You can also check the Include Files and Images box to include files and images from the current document in the template. Once you have at least a name for your template, click Create.
  1. At this point, clicking the Click here to navigate to Documents view link will navigate you to the Documents Dashboard where you can create a new document using your newly created template. Clicking Ok will close the modal and keep you in the current document.
  1. To access your template navigate to the Documents Dashboard
  1. Click the [icon name="circle-plus" prefix="far"] Create Document button to open the New Document modal.
  1. In the New Document modal select the type of document you want from the dropdown menu and specify the name, number, and description. Click Next.
  1. In the Template tab of the new document modal, click the Template dropdown and scroll to the bottom. Click Custom Template.
  1. From the Custom Template dropdown select the template you would like to use and click Next.
  1. Finally, click Finish.
  1. You will be navigated to your newly created document.

  1. Click the Template option.
  1. In the Create New Requirements Document Template modal you will input a name for the new template. Click in the text box next to Name and type your desired name for your template. You can also check the Include Files and Images box to include files and images from the current document in the template. Once you have at least a name for your template, click Create.
  1. At this point, clicking the Click here to navigate to Documents view link will navigate you to the Documents Dashboard where you can create a new document using your newly created template. Clicking Ok will close the modal and keep you in the current document.
  1. To access your template navigate to the Documents Dashboard
  1. Click the Create Document button to open the New Document modal.
  1. In the New Document modal select the type of document you want from the dropdown menu and specify the name, number, and description. Click Next.
  1. In the Template tab of the new document modal, click the Template dropdown and scroll to the bottom. Click Custom Template.
  1. From the Custom Template dropdown select the template you would like to use and click Next.
  1. Finally, click Finish.
  1. You will be navigated to your newly created document.
