Innoslate 3.4 Release Notes

Innoslate 3.4 was released and made available via the public cloud on September 7, 2015.

Below is an outline of the changes made to Innoslate which occurred after the release of Version 3.3 on June 16, 2015 and before the release of Version 3.4 on September 7, 2015.

New Features:

  • Added: New ‘Diagrams View,’ which displays tiles of existing diagrams with a thumbnail taken when the diagram was last saved.
  • Added: The ability to view, sort and search a list of all existing diagrams in a project.
  • Added: The ability to view, sort and search a list of only existing general diagrams in a project.
  • Added: The ability to view, sort and search a list of only existing LML diagrams in a project.
  • Added: The ability to view, sort and search a list of only existing SysML diagrams in a project.
  • Added: The ability to create a copy of an existing project, which includes all entities, diagrams, uploaded files, and comments.
  • Added: New model configuration management features, including branching, which allows creating project baselines, branches, and pushing branches to trunk projects.
  • Added: One-time overlay help tips added to Project Dashboard, Diagrams, Diagrams View, and Entity View.
  • Added: New ‘Physical I/O Diagram’ to bridge the gap between diagrams that are only functional or physical.
  • Added: New option for importing Microsoft Word (.docx) files which parses by headings, available via Import Analyzer’s DOCX tab.
  • Added: The ability to automatically renumber only a specific section of your document in Documents/Requirements Views.
  • Added: New ‘Document’ button in Entity View, to enable the user to navigate directly to the appropriate Documents/Requirements View.
  • Added: New ‘Visit’ button on the URI attribute user interface, to enable the user to navigate to the linked URI location.
  • Added: New NASA Project Plan document templates, accessible via the Project Plans Documents View.
  • Added: New Asset Diagram generator, accessible via the Action Diagram and the IDEF0 Diagram.
  • Added: New Functional Requirements Document generator, based on Dr. Dennis Buede’s outline, accessible via the Action Diagram and the IDEF0 Diagram.
  • Added: New ‘Hierarchical Roll Up’ report, accessible via Entity View.

Enhancements:

  • Improved: ‘Basic Document Output’ report, accessible via Documents/Requirements View, to include displayed attribute columns.
  • Improved: User experience when attempting to import plain text into Innoslate when using Internet Explorer.
  • Improved: User experience when importing a hierarchy of non-Statements via Import Analyzer.
  • Improved: User experience when writing scripts to be used in the Discrete Event Simulator.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed: Issue which caused all Documents Views except Requirements View to not allow Requirement entities to be added to the document.
  • Fixed: Issue which intermittently caused document entities to be sorted incorrectly if two entities had the same Number in Documents/Requirements Views.
  • Fixed: Issue which caused the ‘Entity Definition Report’ to not download if diagrams were included in the report.
